Our design language is built as responsive from the ground up. This approach brings with it a certain way of approaching responsive design.
EdGEL is informed by observation of users interacting with interfaces in real contexts. We give priority to interaction on small screen devices.
Consistency of user experience
Wherever possible we should use the same language and the same design patterns. Our aim is for users to interact with information and services, without being aware of the range of technology in the background.
The University published a web accessibility policy in July 2015. The goal is for all web pages to be compliant with the AA standard of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.
